"We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future."
~ Franklin D. Roosevelt

The Jim Fike Memorial was established to honor the life, memory, and spirit of a man who continually shared himself with his family, friends, and the youth he came in contact with.

Those who knew Jim knew that he was always extending a hand, in one way or another, to kids. He had a way of encouraging them and he wanted nothing more than to help open the door to the future for kids wanting to pursue higher education as well as opportunities in rodeo.

Starting in 2008, our organization began awarding financial scholarships to enrolled Central Wyoming College students, to be used to offset expenses to attend classes and participate on the rodeo team. In 2013,The JFM began extending the financial scholarships to qualified Fremont County high school seniors, to use at any accredited college of their choosing.

The main fundraiser for the JFM is an annual golf tournament held at the Riverton Country Club. Every year the family looks forward to seeing friends gather together for a fun-filled day of golfing.  This single fundraiser has provided more than 10 scholarships over the years and has enabled the JFM to establish an endowment through the CWC Foundation.
